We finally decided to leave Sunday morning and continue our journey. The weather wasn’t much different but the wind had died down a bit and sun was in the forecast. First stop was the Stennis Lock at mm 334.7 and lowered us 27’.
The scenery was beautiful…lots of birds to watch.
We also saw more volleyball nets. We have seen these all down the river just randomly placed in some of the more populated areas.
And this place made me a tad bit homesick!
All-in-all a nice day even if the sun never showed itself.
We found a nice little anchorage near the Pickensville Recreational Area.
We have had a nice week and I am trying hard not to be grumpy because of the yucky weather…someone might say I’m not trying quite hard enough LOL. REALLY looking forward to some sunshine, though!
