We were at Lock 2 of the Arkansas River at first light…I have never seen so many sunrises in one week! LOL
We made it to the Mississippi River and turned left. Wow what a difference going up the mighty Mississippi! Just turning onto the river was an experience! The current was extraordinary and the pictures don’t do it justice!
We are now only going about 6 mph running around 1800 rpm’s! Hoping to make it to Memphis by tomorrow. It’s beginning to look like the trip is going to take more than the week we originally thought but it is what it is and we’re making the best of it. Oh, and did I mention our generator stopped working, ugh!
So, bye-bye Arkansas River and hello mighty Mississip!
